Wedding Cakes

I love making bespoke wedding cakes and I am always happy to work with you to design something special.

WEDDING CONSULTATIONS
Wedding consultations take place by appointment only. My dates tend to get booked up quickly but I will try and accommodate weekday and weekend appointments. The consultations take place at my home studio or via Zoom and are for up to two people to discuss your ideas and requirements. After an initial chat via phone or email I will provide a quote and we can get your cake booked in.


CAKE TASTING BOXES
Payment of your deposit includes a free complimentary cake tasting box of 6 flavours of cake. You can choose any 6 flavours.
I will contact you closer to your wedding to arrange posting this to you.

Alternatively should you wish to sample my cakes before booking you can purchase a sample box from my online shop. This box is not deducted from your wedding cake cost. Please contact me via me the ‘contact’ page to check my availability for your wedding date before ordering samples.


DESIGN PROCESS
During any consultation, I will work closely to gain details about your wedding in order for me to provide you with an initial design and quote for your cake. Orders are only secured on receipt of your deposit and I do encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment. Quotes are valid for 4 WEEKS. When booking over a year in advance I do recommend a design consultation closer to your wedding date.


LEAD TIMES
I only take a small number of wedding commissions per week and so encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment. I generally ask for a 3 month lead time with wedding orders during the busy season between May and September. I do of course accept orders with shorter lead times, so it’s always worth emailing to check availability.


PAYMENT
To secure your booking a deposit is required for wedding cake orders. The balance of your order is due 14 days prior to your wedding date. Payment is accepted via bank transfer only. Most couples budget for £400-£700 for their bespoke wedding cake.


DELIVERY
Due to the fragile nature of stacked wedding cakes I recommend and offer a delivery and set up service, this is £0.40 per mile (return trip) and on site set up fee, should I need to take toll roads this will be added to your delivery charge. The price for delivery and set up will be supplied on your invoice/quote. Set ups for larger dessert table options, fresh or or sugar flowers may cost extra as these take more time at the venue.


HIRE ITEMS
We are happy to also provide cake stands, logs etc. these are charged at a flat rate for hire, price on application, with a £50-£100 refundable holding deposit, this deposit will be refunded once the items are returned back to us in the condition they were delivered in, within 4 days of the event. The cost of stand hire is not included in the price of your cake. Should you require us to collect the items this is also at an extra collection charge.
